Most recently, IIC asked for internship reviews and I submitted a short piece regarding my time with the Edward James Foundation, working in historic West Dean. Never before had I worked for a historic home and never shall I forget the experience. While my article (starts page 32) focuses one aspect of my internship, as many of us know there is much more going on behind the scenes. Being adaptable to many circumstances and issues throughout the day made the job both exciting and rewarding. I very much enjoyed working with the collections team who cared about the house, the stories it had to tell, and everyone who interacted with home in all its aspects. I hope one enjoys the small slice of my time there and I encourage everyone in the West Sussex area to visit the lovely and grand West Dean.
